(28 September 2012 – Hong Kong) New World Department Store China Limited (“NWDS” or the “Company”; Hong Kong stock code: 825), one of the largest owners and operators of department stores in the PRC, held a grand boot ceremony of movie “Love is coming” at Hong Kong New World Department Store- Shanghai Baoshan Branch Store (“Shanghai Baoshan Branch Store”) on 25th September as the chief sponsor of such for the first time. Movie producers Daniel Feng, Andy Chin and director Hua Ming attended the ceremony together with starring Wallace Zhong, Olivia Wang and Zhang Li and NWDS spokesperson candidates.
The movie depicts a refreshing and romantic urban love story and is comprised of three individual but inextricably related sessions. The first session is about a dramatic love story between leading actress Su Xiaobei and her new coworker Wu Tianlang at a department store; the second one narrates a relationship full of inspirations between dentist Sisong and Lily who works in a foreign enterprise. The third one is about Su Xiaobei’s journey searching for love and ultimately she discovers that dentist Sisong is her true love. Most of the scenes in the movie will be shot in New World Department Stores to embrace their romantic and living ambience. The movie will be debuted on the big screen during Valentine’s period in 2013.
To reward NWDS VIP members, the Company especially invited hundreds of loyal VIP members to attend the boot ceremony along with the movie stars at Shanghai Baoshan Branch Store on 25th September. At the same time, VIP members who make purchases exceeding a specific amount at NWDS stores can have a chance to win exclusive visit opportunities to witness the movie shooting.
In addition, to tie in with the launch of “The 2nd NWDS Spokesperson” Guessing Contest on 27th September, the movie publisher of “Love is Coming” will especially shoot a micro movie called “Fall in Love” for the three contest candidates. General public can have a better understanding of the candidates through their performances in the micro movie and cast their votes to guess who is the real NWDS spokesperson that can best represent the Company’s image of “Enriching Lives‧Enhancing Character” for a chance to win fabulous prizes worth over RMB 350,000 in total.
